  • The baritone has beautiful rich tones. It has 30 strings, is 25 inches long, 9 inches wide at the base, and has a 2 inch deep sound box. Weight approx. 4 1/4 lb. Made in the U.S.
  • On the right side, the natural notes start at F2 (first F below middle C) and go up 2 + octaves higher to A4. This psaltery uses a combination of wound and plain steel ball end string for optimal note pitch.
  • The bookmatched top sapele. Back and sides are walnut.  Sapele is a reddish brown wood that looks like mahogany.
  • Dots at the C notes help give position reference.
  • We package each instrument with a walnut bow, rosin, spare strings, gooseneck tuning wrench, beginners instructional/song booklet TK O’Brien’s Guide to Playing the Bowed Psaltery. SOLD WITHOUT CASE.  We no longer have a carrying case to fit the instrument.
