Experienced players use the Backpacker as a take along instrument. The Backpacker is great to take along on outings such as hiking, canoeing and certainly traveling.  No playing stand needed as it comes with a peg that fits in a slot on the back to support the instrument on a table or other surface, even the ground! The tone is balanced and surprisingly full for such a compact instrument.
